This is Nelson - Nelson is looking for a new forever home. Nelson is a great boy - housebroken, great with kids, other dogs, has had obedience training and is very loving.
Nelson is fearful of men - we will begin working with Nelson to help him overcome this - this is a common issue we see in rescue and most dogs once properly socialized adjust and have no problems - it just takes time and patience.
Come and meet this sweet sweet boy - you will love him. UPDATE: Nelson has been reunited with his littermate, Cody (formerly Judd) in his new foster home! He gets along wonderfully with Cody and our other dog. He is learning to be crated during the day and is doing great with it (he isn't crate-trained because he did fine when left uncrated). Nelson is a smaller, very gentle lab that likes to sleep, loves nylabones, and belly rubs. He has no issues traveling in a car, is house-trained, and does well on a leash. **UPDATE 2/11/11** In just one short month Nelson has blossomed into a well socialized happy boy. Nelson loves meeting new people now (men or women) and loves, loves, loves, other dogs.
