History:
Date of origin - xxxx in Scotland. A farm cat named Suzie had a litter that gave the most distinguishing characteristic that Scottish Folds are known for...the small ears which fold forward and downward, giving them an impish look.
Colors and Coat Types Available:
Scottish Folds come in any and all colors possible with the exception of those showing evidence of hybridization resulting in the colors chocolate, lavender, the Himalayan pattern, or a combination of these and white. TICA does allow the chocolate and lavender colors. They come in short and long haired varieties.
Personality Traits:
They are sweet-tempered and attentive, devoted and not demanding. They are wonderful with children and other pets and sometimes offer a Buddha sit or a prairie-dog stance which is very cute.
They are medium sized, have large round broadly spaced eyes, well-rounded whisker pads and a short nose with a gentle curve in profile. They have shorter bodies, leg stance and tails. We offer both long and short-haired varieties. Solid, bi-color and tabby both with and without white.
